[Replaced!] ZoukLab Antwerp comes to Hamburg! (31st Oct – 2nd Nov)

This event has been cancelled due to an insufficient number of participants which would allow us to cover all the costs. The event will be replaced by: 8 hours of workshops with João Jezuz and Flavia and a special workshop with Daniel (DJ TouchZ). The parties will take place as planned: Halloween Party on 31st October, Zouk & Forró Party (in two rooms) on 1st November, and Cozy Zouk Social on 2nd November. Flyer and registration form coming soon!

Another zouk event in our beautiful Hamburg! This time, Boyana and Lukas 🇧🇪 come to bring technique and playfulness to bring our dancing to the next level. 

The main topic of the workshops will be reverse moves, to challenge you and double your dance repertoire! 😊

🏷️ Full-Pass: 90 euros per person or 170 for couples (please specify the name of your partner in the form and ask him/her to fill the form as well!)

We care about balancing leaders and followers, and we only have space for 15 couples. Please, keep in mind that your registration is only confirmed once we receive the full payment, and that we will delete from the list people who have not paid within 2 weeks to leave space for others.

Rules at the venue: As we rent the room form a theatre school, we need to leave the place clean and do not move things around. Be also aware that we are NOT ALLOWED to use the side small room, which should remain available for the students of the theatre school that want to rehearse.

Special Workshop w. Pat Géa (11th Sept.)

Pat Géa (🇧🇷) is known for her unique teaching style:

A methodology based on experimentation. Bringing less statements and more questions, making students think and understand dance and not just reproduce movements. This reflects on the efficiency of learning and the construction of a more autonomous and authorial dance.

She is also a certified SoulZouk teacher and a great understanding of both leading and following.

🗓️ She will offer a special workshop on 11th September, 20:00h – 22:00h (during our regular class time), suitable for dancers of every level.

🏷️ Price: the workshop costs 25 euros per person. We offer a 5 euros discount for the students of our regular Thursday classes.

Zouk & Samba with Dadinho (30-31st Aug)

Jefferson Dadinho (🇧🇷) is coming to teach us 3 hours of Zouk and 2 hours of Samba de Gafiera. I heard about him: “He is a dance genius!,” so I really couldn’t miss the opportunity to bring him in town.

Dadinho is recognized for developing and promoting a modern methodology that brings together hip-hop, R&B and urban styles into Zouk and Samba.

Parties of the Close Embrace Weekender w. Olga & Fernando

As Olga & Fernando are coming to town to teach us zouk in close embrace (see the full program below), we will have three parties to enjoy together.

All parties are included in the full-pass. If you do not have a full-pass, you can still join the parties by purchasing either a single party pass or a full party-pass.

The Friday and Saturday parties will start at 21:00h and are open-ended. The entrance fee is of 10 euros.

The Sunday social starts at 18:00h and ends at 21:00h and the entrance fee is of 7 euros.

DJ TouchZ (NL) will be DJ-ing for us during the parties.

The parties have themes. Dressing up according to the themes is not compulsory, but we love if you do!

  • As we are a lot of people, make sure that our dancing room feels cozy and that we have enough space for dancing: please place your jackets and backpacks at the entrance and not in the main room (and definitely not in the side room!)

SoulZouk Weekender with Kris & Klaudia (PLN)

Klaudia and Kris are coming to Hamburg to share their dance knowledge and unique style with us.

“Our mission is to inspire our students to embrace a state of being fully in the moment and cultivate presence in their dance. At the same time, we focus on balancing this awareness with solid dance technique, ensuring body safety, confident and effective leading, and freedom of expression.”

Their three-year collaboration resulted in development of dance methodology that accelerates dancers’ growth by emphasizing biomechanics and a deep understanding of the body. This unique approach is reflected in their dance style, characterized by attentiveness to one another, emotions drawn from the music, and spontaneous, organic movement.

Kris is a certified UKA and SoulZouk dance instructor with nearly 20 years of teaching experience. Over his career, he has been invited to teach in more than 20 countries around the world. Klaudia, an accomplished and natural dancer, brings a focus on technical precision, emotional expression, and authenticity. Together, Kris and Klaudia share a love for exploring new places and connecting with diverse dance communities, spreading their passion and knowledge wherever they go.
